Malta, che dal mistero del lontano Neolitico allo splendore Barocco delle architetture dell’Ordine, presenta un volto architettonico che la pone, per nobilità, in primissima fila tra i più dotati paesi del mondo, non ha una storia scritta della sua architettura; il poco che si è scritto intorno all’architettura maltese, anche quando è frutto di intelligente e misurata osservazione, è sempre monco e frammentario.
